Adrien invites all Everett residents to free Ice Cream Social meet-and-greet Candidate promotes her community-focused campaign

July 22, 2016

Candidate for State Representative Gerly Adrien would like to welcome everyone in Everett to a free Ice Cream Social meet-and-greet on Saturday, July 30. Residents are invited to share their ideas, concerns and visions with Adrien while enjoying ice cream. The event will take place on Saturday, July 30 from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. at the corner of Ferry Street and Elm Street. As she presses on toward the September 8 election, Adrien is keeping her campaign focused on the people of Everett and the power of voting. She has spent the last few months of her campaign knocking on doors, visiting the elderly, hosting dinners and meeting voters. Her various encounters with the people of Everett have helped to shape her vision for the office of State Representative. “When I reach the State House, every decision that I make on legislation will reflect the needs and values of the people of Everett,” Adrien said. “This election is about representation that works for the people. With your vote, I will give you a voice in the State House this fall.” Adrien said she will continue to plan community events, such as the Ice Cream Social meet-and-greet, once she is elected. In addition to hosting monthly meet-and-greets and quarterly State House town halls, Adrien promised to communicate with the people of Everett whenever controversial legislation arises on the House floor. “Elected officials should have a year-round approach – they should be in the community every day, talking and listening to people,” Adrien said. “I am dedicating myself to Everett, the city where I was raised and the place where I learned to stand up for what is right. I am asking the men and women of Everett to make the best decision for themselves and their city; I am asking them to vote for me in September.”

The election will be held on Thursday, September 8. You can learn more about Gerly Adrien and how she is breaking barriers and building a better future for everyone at www. gerlyadrien.com.
